How far along: 9 weeks
Gender: My entire family is now guessing GIRL (partly because the heartbeat last week was so high and partly because I think they just picture me with a baby girl). Me and one of my best friends are the only two still rooting for a boy.
How big is baby: About the size of a green olive, or 1 inch long. He/she is now weighing in at about 0.07 ounces.
Newest baby developments: Little Babeski is finally in the “fetus stage,” yay! Facial features are becoming more distinct (in other words, finally looking more baby-like haha) and all his/her joints are now in working order!
Sleep: Usually fine, but those weirdo dreams keep coming — at least one a night that I can remember. I also wake up thinking the dream was such a good story but once I start retelling it to Alex I realize that it made no sense at all haha (ex: “It was a really cool dream, I swear! It could have been a movie! So it started at my friend’s house but then it was actually my old house in New York and my phone started turning into dough and…yeah this makes no sense actually, never mind.”)
Weirdest symptoms: Probably the dreams. Other than that, feeling tired all the time, and some occasional nausea…all my symptoms have been fairly mild. Thank goodness!
Best moment this week: My favorite moment from this past week was ABSOLUTELY 100% seeing our baby and hearing the heartbeat for the first time. I don’t know how that could ever be topped (except maybe actually holding him/her for the first time).
Worst moment this week: Probably those mood swings. This week I cried like a little kid because Alex carried some bags from the store inside for me and I thought that was so nice of him hahaha. I’m going to start keeping track of the dumb things I cry about so I can laugh later.
Cravings: Nothing in particular, I’ve just been really wanting chicken lately. It’s been a tasty week!
Looking forward to: A million things, but this week in particular I’m looking forward to hopefully finding a job so we can save up some extra money for our little one.
