Bumpdate – 10 weeks

10 WeeksHow far along: 10 weeks
Gender: We can find out in about five weeks!
How big is baby: About the size of a prune, or 1.2-1.5 inch long. Weight is about 0.14 ounces!
Newest baby developments: Little Babeski is looking more and more like a baby, which is definitely good news! All those cute little facial features are finally in place (eyes, nose, lips, and even tiny ears although he/she can’t hear just yet). Vital organs are fully developed and they’re starting to function too! Plus, he or she is dancing around in there all the time, now that all joints are working and bones are forming.
Sleep: It’s been harder for me to fall asleep lately, but I think it’s due to all the excitement more than anything. As soon as my head hits the pillow, I’m suddenly thinking about a million baby-related things. Everything from imagining what it will be like to have the baby next to us at night to which middle names go with which first names.
Weirdest symptoms: My symptoms have actually lessened, if anything. Sometimes I feel left out because it’s hard to feel a physical connection to the baby when he or she is so small. Symptoms kind of help you make that connection in a way. But mostly I’m just thankful I’m one of the lucky ones who isn’t puking her brains out at any given moment.
Best moment this week: Hmm my favorite was probably just spending time with my husband this weekend. Life is always better when he’s around.
Worst moment this week: Dealing with the laundry facilities at our apartment complex haha. Sounds lame but ever since I got pregnant, I deal with frustration even worse than usual (I’m talking waterworks at the drop of a hat).
Cravings: Anything and everything. I am pretty much hungry all the time.
Looking forward to: Announcing the baby news to everyone! Two more weeks. : )
