Bumpdate – 13 Weeks

How far along: 13 weeks (last week of the first trimester!!!)
Gender: After our doctor’s visit last week, we’re definitely thinking boy…even Alex agrees! I’m going to make an appointment with a private ultrasound office for my 16th week so we can find out for sure. That’s only three weeks away!!!
How big is baby: About the size of a peach, or 3 inches long! Weight is around 0.81 ounces.
Newest baby developments: Little Babeski’s vocal cords and teeth are forming this week and he/she has teeny fingerprints.
Movement: I’m still not 100% on this yet, but I was definitely feeling more of whatever that movement was from last week. Whether it’s the baby or not, I’m still not sure. But either way, I’m still so excited about all the little flips and kicks I know my baby is doing in there. 🙂
Weirdest symptoms: Umm heartburn is definitely making it’s grand entrance this week. I have never had problems with heartburn before (I’ve gotten it like twice in my whole life) but it’s been bothering me lately, especially at night.
Best moment this week: Seeing our baby this past week, of course. 🙂 And finding out that Alex’s cousin and his wife are having a boy! She’s due just a couple of weeks before me and we’re SO excited for them!
Worst moment this week: Nothing bad to report!
Cravings: Nothing on this front either.
Looking forward to: Definitely figuring out if the blood work really will give us the gender of our baby. I’m going to call them tomorrow and find out!
