Bumpdate – 14 weeks

How far along: 14 weeks! Hellooo second trimester! 😀
Gender: I’m so sure it’s a boy that I’ve started referring to the baby as “him.” I’ve even caught Alex doing it a couple of times too haha. It would be quite an adjustment if we happened to find out it’s actually a girl, but I really don’t think it is. ; )  I’m planning to call this week and set up a gender reveal ultrasound for about two and a half weeks from now and then we can finally stick to one pronoun lol.
How big is baby: About the size of a lemon, or 3.4 inches. Weight is about 1.5 ounces People who know me are now starting to notice my little baby bump, which is so much fun! I LOVE that my baby is finally big enough to make a noticeable difference in my size!
Newest baby developments: Little Babeski is growing like crazy and can now make all sorts of different faces. He can use his fingers to grasp things and even suck his thumb. Plus, he’s getting some very fine hair all over his little body (called lanugo) which will help keep him warm until he has his layer of fat.
Movement: Still very unsure about this, but last night I was laying on my back and I could totally see where the baby was in my belly. The right side of my lower tummy was pushed out more than anywhere else and it felt more firm right there too so I bet that’s where he was hanging out. 🙂
Weirdest symptoms: Some issues with being able to fall asleep, but nothing much besides that.
Best moment this week: Helping my sister and her husband move into their new apartment and seeing how happy and mature she looks! My niece’s nursery is going to be so adorable and it made me excited for getting our nursery set up too! (once we find a new place, that is)
Worst moment this week: Nothing was really bad about this week, it’s just frustrating trying to find the perfect new home. I want it to be just right for the baby and so far nothing has really jumped out at us even though we’ve visited a bunch of places this weekend. Oh well, we still have a couple months so there’s hope!
Cravings: This one Mexican place called El Pollo Supremo in Tempe. My best friend and I used to go there all the time during college and I’m dying to go back! Hopefully we can set something up soon, right Miss Brittany?? 🙂
Looking forward to: Going to El Pollo Supremo hahaha. That’s literally like my only thought right now.
