Happy Resurrection Sunday, everyone! He is risen!!!
How far along: 17 weeks
Gender: A BOY!!! ❤ We found out yesterday at a private ultrasound clinic and announced it shortly after. I am so happy we finally know for sure!
How big is baby: About the size of a pomegranate, or 5 inches. Weight is about 5.5 ounces.
Newest baby developments: Little Babeski is putting on some baby fat and starting to fill out a little bit. His heart is being regulated by his brain now, and he could stretch out to fill my whole open hand.
Movement: Still mostly random, but I definitely feel him swimming around in there at least a few times a day. Plus, this past week I actually felt him from the outside! I was laying down, feeling his little kicks, so I put my hand on my tummy and he kicked my hand right away! I’m hoping Alex will get to feel it soon too, but so far the little guy gets very shy any time his dad tries to hang out with him. 😉
Weirdest symptoms: Absolutely nothing. If it weren’t for the ultrasounds and feeling him move occasionally, I probably wouldn’t even believe I’m pregnant. My son has been so kind to me. 🙂
Best moment this week: Oh gosh, there were SO many great moments this week. My favorites were (of course) seeing my baby at our ultrasound appointment yesterday, finding out he’s a boy (:D !!!), announcing the news to everyone (I’ll make a separate post about that, along with some of the ultrasound pictures), and hanging out with both my family and Alex’s family yesterday for an early Easter dinner.
Worst moment this week: My dad has been pretty sick and we ended up taking him to the ER this week because of a really high fever, which was pretty scary. He’s doing much better now, though, praise God!
Cravings: No cravings at all.
Looking forward to: Our Easter service tonight at church! And, of course, starting to buy some baby boy stuff. 🙂
